Who is responsible for cleaning foyer tiles in my strata building? – Michelle, NSW

The foyer tiles in my building are black with dirt. They are supposed to be white as pr their original colour. The strata nips them but the dirt is built in to the tiles and they need a gurney. I have asked the real estate several times to get it fixed, but there’s been no change. Who is responsible for cleaning the foyer tiles and ensuring they remain clean?

The owners corporation need to maintain common property and this also includes cleaning. It would be proactive management to ensure that they are deep cleaned regularly.

If you are a tenant in the property, you may speak with your landlord or property owner or your agent to forward your request to the committee so that deep cleaning can be done.
