Q: Regarding proxy voting at SC meetings, is there a mandatory Regulated SC Proxy Form that must be used? Can an SC member give his proxy to any other owner when proposed any other owner is not a member of the SC?
Can a strata committee member give his proxy to any other owner who is not a member of the strata committee? – Barry, NSW
A: Proxies are generally not allowed in strata committee meetings.
One way to get around this, however, is to seek approval from the committee to nominate an owner within the strata scheme to vote as an acting member.
