Answer: Hi Robert, it may be possible but it depends what you want them to do because a lot of the duties are interrelated. For example, when doing agendas and minutes of meetings we quite often need to know what the financial status of the scheme is. Acting as the treasurer and having that information means we would have a more comprehensive picture in those secretarial duties. They might be able to do it if they’re willing but it makes it hard for them to do because they won’t have a full picture of your scheme. If it’s just someone to manage the paperwork, you might not need a specialist body corporate manager and you might be able to hire someone that can carry out general secretarial duties.
