I live in a small apartment and the owners of the property live above. There is continuous noise eg: doors slamming, heavy footsteps, today they are doing a renovation I think, so banging etc since 8am. They wake me most mornings with doors slamming dogs barking etc. I feel I have no privacy and they obviously don’t care.

Letting the neighbour know how the noise is affecting you might solve the problem, as they might be blissfully unaware. You can also contact the body corporate or the manager and discuss the noise concern with them, as there is most likely a by-law regarding noise . A contravention notice can be issued to the neighbour, within the notice it helps to provide some solutions, such as covering floor with rugs to absorb noise, starting renovations at specific times, oiling the hinges of the doors etc.
