Owners of a block of units would like to call an extraordinary meeting. How do we go about this? – Maria, NSW
Q: Owners of a block of units would like to call an extraordinary meeting. How do we go about this? Do we all have to write to the Strata managers or can just one person do this? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
A: You may request a meeting in writing if you and the other owners hold at least a quarter of the total unit entitlements.
Send the request to either your strata committee’s secretary or your strata manager. When a qualified request is received, a meeting should be convened within 14 days.
