Please can you help me to understand how I can find information regarding the requirements of my strata.
For example, my gate key continually doesn’t work and I’m told it will cost money to reprogram it, yet I’ve never changed the code and have had the remote looked at my a repair man (mister minute) and it has plenty of battery and a clean motherboard.
I would like to know how and where I can find information regarding the role of strata companies and what their requirements/responsibilities are.
Building specific information such as gate codes, can be obtained from either the building manager, caretaker, chairperson of the committee or strata manager. If you are unsure who to contact, start with your strata manager, who should be able to point you in the right direction.
The Office of the Commissioner for Body Corporate website explains the role of a Strata Manager. More specific information regarding the services provided by your strata manager can be found in the administration agreement that the body corporate has in place with your current strata management company.
