I have 2 committee members who think they own the property and are intimidating and harassing us. What can we do legally? – M, NSW
Q: Hi, I have 2 committee members who think they own the property and are intimidating and harassing us. They’ve been there for years, we’ve just moved in and have ruffled feathers trying to stand up for ours and others rights.
One has threatened to kill us and knows people to fix us up, and has lied and had cops sent to us. We are going to court as we place an AVO on him. But his lying committee mate is backing him and is consistently walking past our unit every day and also pulled me up in my car to have words with me.
Today my husband was walking down the driveway and luckily had his camera going to tape himself for safety and this guy tapped his broom to get his attention, my husband turned around and he was videoing my husband, obviously trying to set him up to assist his mate.
What can we do legally as this guy is now intimidating us not just inside our place walking past but on complex too?
A: If you are feeling threatened within your strata property, it is best that you call the police immediately. If your strata property employs a strata manager you can also contact them for further assistance.
