Q: I am living 4 units villa. two lot with large balcony(49m2 each) ,it has water leakage problem. The strata manager refused show me any quote but give to other owners. They made decision special levy $60,000 on AGM on 29th,March,this year.,each pay$15,000, only me disagree. Other owner's son wants make offer. He has business relationship with our strata management agency. I was telling the manager about cost around under $20,000 before AGM and on AGM, but the manager Interrupt me and ignore what I say, treat me as air. Now the manager still refused reply me email by 3 times, and refused show me any quote again. He email me that special levy is $30,000 on April after i said i am going to Fairtrading.I have no trust in the way this problem was handle. What can i do ?How to protect my right? Thanks

A: You may wish to take the matter up with NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT).
It will be helpful to your cause if you are able to provide evidence of being ignored by the strata manager, and that there have been increases in the special levy amount without explanation.
Alternatively, it may be worth checking the AGM minutes or any special levy notices to find more information around the special levy to fix the water leakage problem, if such documents exist.
