A unit keeps two rabbits on the balcony for breeding, who didn’t get permission and it produces very bad smells. At times the rabbits are walking on the balcony in their dirty mess, and I cannot enjoy my balcony as the smells is offensive. – Maureen, NSW

Hi Maureen, you will need to consult the by-laws for the strata scheme, as pets might be allowed at the building. First step would be to have a chat to your neighbour, they might not be aware that there is a smell from the rabbits. Contact the strata manager or strata committee and ask for assistance in requesting the area be kept clean to try eliminate the smell and both parties can enjoy the balcony area.
